Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the service. We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not track you across the web.

• Email address and password (or Google account ID) for authentication
• Tax profile information you enter: filing status, state, pay frequency, dependents, education expenses, prior job details
• Paycheck data you enter: gross pay, tax withholdings, YTD figures, deductions
• Payment records: a reference to your Stripe payment (we never see or store your credit card number)

• To calculate your tax projections and W-4 recommendations
• To generate your pre-filled W-4 form
• To authenticate you and keep your data in your account
• To process payments via Stripe

That is the complete list. Nothing else.

Your data is stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security enabled. Each user can only access their own data. The database is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Nobody. Specifically:

• We do not sell your data to anyone
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not use your data for marketing purposes
• Stripe processes payments and receives only what is needed to complete the transaction (amount, your Stripe customer ID)
• We may disclose data if required by law (court order, subpoena)

We use cookies only for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking cookies.

Your data stays in your account as long as your account exists. If you want your data deleted, email us and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

You can:

• Access all the data we store about you (it is your dashboard)
• Edit or delete your paycheck entries at any time
• Request full account deletion by emailing us
• Export your data by contacting us (we will provide it in a standard format)

W2Wise is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of W2Wise after changes constitutes acceptance.
